Braces....?

im going to get braces soon and idk if i should get the ones that match your teeth(not invisaline), or regular ones?





does any1 have braces, (or had)





tell me the pros and cons, please help me deside!

Braces....?
i have braces. i got them on a week ago. i think you should get the normal ones because the ones that match your teeth look like you have clear wax all over your teeth. it doesnt even match you teeth so why bother?


and small tips for braces:


-dont eat chicken *ouch*


-use the wax that the dentist gives you (it really works)


-eat mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, smoothies, etc.


-take the small tooth pick thingy everywhere you go, its hard to get food out of in between your braces otherwise


-take asprin


-cut food up


-get a nice color (not green, yellow, orange, or colors like that cuz it will look like you have fungus growing on your teeth)
Reply:i have braces right now..nd i just get any color. it doesnt have to match with ur clothes.i get watever color i want . they have a variety. so far ive had blue, baby blue, light gree, lavender, purplr, navy blue, red nd i might get pink this time..when i go.


it hurts when u get them nd it feels weird..but dont worry..it will all pay off when ur smiling nd all those boyz/girls see those beautiful teeth!!

Reply:I had regular ones, and it was fun to pick the colors every month. I guess the cons are that it can look tacky if you're a stupid seventh grader and you pick tacky colors.
Reply:The ones that match your teeth can't get your teeth as straight as the regular ones. Braces will do more for your teeth if you can get the regular ones only because they can put rubber bands where they need to go, and they'll be able to move certain teeth closer together instead of having to move them all. Also, regular braces can move your teeth faster than the other ones, so you won't have to have them as long. I had braces for a year and a half...they worked wonders for me.
Reply:Well braces can be a pain but in the long run they are good. I liked the regular ones because you can change the color. The invisible ones make your teeth look dirty and stained. Especially if you drink soda, coffee or eat dark foods.
Reply:well you can but a lot of people think it cool to have diffrent colors i think you can also get braces on the back side of your teeth like miley cyrus so no one can see them dont worry
Reply:I'd get the regular ones, the others look kindu weird, and when you're choosing the color DONT get yellow, white, or clear, they get dirty and turn brownish really easily and its gross. I would get pink, light blue, silver, or light purple. Dont worry, it doesnt hurt at all, and you can barely see them. Good luck!
