Do braces hurt? honestly tell the truth i need 2 kno!!!!!!!! if they do why? and wut is the worst part bout braces?
Braces.....?
Braces are uncomfortable initially because they feel tight on your teeth. They also don't seem to fit well inside your mouth when you close your lips.
Depending on how long you have them on, you will get use to them, but probably never use to avoiding certain foods - the worst part (e.g., candy.)
Reply:They don't hurt all of the time, just when the wires are changed. The most annoying part is when the braces rub on the inside of your lips or on your tongue. You get wax for that though - put it right on the part that is rubbing and you'll be good to go.
Reply:they don't hurt that bad the worst part is when you first get them on and when you take them off...and of course when you get them tightened
Reply:yes they do hurt
alot!!
especially when you first get them on because the ruber bands are putting so much pressure on your teeth
sometimes your gums might even get swolen but in the end
its definatly worth it
Reply:well to tell u da true they kinda hurt....when the dentis start to tighten them it hurts because it pulling ur teeth in the direction in with it was made for...but after a while it goes away so it wount hurt....i kno because i have braces
Reply:when the wires rub againt your lips and when you get the wires tightenend
Reply:Your teeth hurt when you first get them. It gets very sore and it it'll hurt if your teeth comes in contact with anything, so eating and even brushing your teeth will be a tough task. After a few weeks, you should be able to eat solid foods like steak, and you'll be pain free besides more work being done like tightening braces and such.
Well at least for me.
Reply:I have braces and I really enjoy them. They don't hurt for me, except for a few days after I get them on, and sometimes when I eat. However, I didn't really have to do anything to extreme. I hear expanders are pretty painful.
Reply:no they do not hurt
Reply:Only the preliminary spacers are a pain. The rest is fine.
Reply:First of all yes you do have to get a retainer, and yes they do hurt when you first get them, when they tighten them and when you get them off, but its a different sort of pain, its just your nerves in your mouth tingling. The worst part is going to get them tightened, its sort of an annoying pain. Kinda hard to describe, but they are so worth it, I had braces for 7 years!
Reply:yea youi have to get a retanier after braces and the worst part is it hurts the first day you get then if you play an instrumit you won't play it for a couple of days!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:they only hurt a little when you get them on, and when the tighten them. thats about all. most of the time, you forget that them are even on
p.s retainer-YES!!
