***braces?***?

ok i have one crooked tooth on the top row of my teeth and two crooked teeth on the bottom row of my teeth. they're all right in the front of my mouth too. so my mom says i'll probably need to get one tooth pulled on the bottom before i get braces. so my question is how long do you think i'll need braces? and How badly does it hurt? Will I need rubber bands or anything like that? be specific. would it be worth it for me to get them?

i dont think removing your teeth are necessary its optional and the braces with hurt the first to weeks you get it and for about 1-3 days when its tightened other than that its no biggie it depends how bad your teeth are mine were horrible and i had it for two %26amp; a half years :]

Reply:get Invisalign braces---clear trays you put over your teeth and wear for anywhere from 6-24 months (estimation). Much more attractive than regular braces.

i think you will only need them for like a year.


to be honest with you, braces KILL at first.


but after a while you get use to them and your teeth then look perfect.

Reply:the orthodontist can give you an estimate of how long you'll have to wear the braces. they'll also tell you what you'll need with your braces, as it all depends on what's needed to be 'fixed' or straightened.





they really only hurt when they're tightened, or when you first get them, but you can handle it with a few asprin. i had braces for 5 years, but even after getting them tightened, i was chomping into hard/chewy bagels!!! depends on your pain threshold.

Reply:Well, here's some advice from a metal mouth herself. Well, of course, you'll need braces! You don't want that tooth to be staring at you for the rest of your life, will you? Of course not. My orthodontist says,"Right after the day you get the braces, it will hurt your jaw a little". But, after that, it feels like it's not on! Uh-huh! You'll need that stuff. First appointment, you get these blue bands all the way back in gums to make some space for braces. Next, they take out the bands (it doesn't hurt, so don't worry) and put things like rings right in the space. Last, they put wires and colorful bands onto your teeth. After two in a half years, you'll get removable braces called retainers.( At lunch, don't throw away you're retainers.)


Think about it. It will cost your parents alot of money, but it is all worth while at the end. Enjoy your braces!!!

Reply:ok well u can get braces like only done on those 3 teeth instead of ur whole mouth!also the clear braces can get expensive but since u only need it on 3 teeth it wont cost that much!i dont think u need rubber bands!
