i'm paying $6000. for my daughters braces. they sometimes hurt for about a day or 2 motrin usually helps. braces are brackets that are cemented onto each tooth then there is a wire that goes in between the brackets. go to the orthodontist after you've lost all baby teeth. ask your friends what dr. they see that's the best recommendation word of mouth.
Reply:well i jsut got braces on my top teeth and they were 700 to get put on and we have to pay each visit.they are glued on your teeth.they hurt acouple times a day its not that painful it kinda hurts to eat too.We went to two different places and the place i'm at now is the cheapest and there very nice. Reply:First thing is find an orthodontist. And it does pay to shop around. The price will vary depending on your city. Mine are costing me 5,000.00.The first thing you will have done is a consultation and this is where you will have impressions of your teeth made, that does not hurt. Then you will come back and learn about how long they will be in your mouth etc. Then you will have spacers put in and then you get your braces. You will be sore for a few days after getting them. The time they stay in depends on the severity of your teeth. Mine are in for 18 months.

when they are first put on and after they are tightened they will hurt for a day or two but then it will ease off.

I had braces and although I hated it at the time it was so worth it and I'm glad I did.

Reply:I had braces about 5 years ago. Back then they cost $3600, I paid $120 a month. I wouldn't say they hurt to bad, your mouth will be a little sore when you have to have them tightened each month. If you think you need braces, you should make an appointment with an Orthodontist, a lot of offices will do the consultation for free.
Reply:They only hurt when they get titened and when u first get them....they cost various prices usarly around 2,000....and they glue them on ur teeth
Reply:the prices can range...min cost around 2000 and i have to get them again which sucks. the doctors puts a special glue on ur teeth and this is how the braces stay in. you have to get a referral sometimes from your general dentist and then u go to an orthodontist for a referral. if u need braces then you go from there.
