Braces?????

I got my braces off a few years ago and have been wearing retainers ever since.... yet recently my dog decided to get up on top of the counter and into my black bag that i had and chew them up..... My once perfect teeth are slowly but surely getting worse and worse by the day. Is there any way that i can give me teeth a touch up and to fix the problem without getting braces again??

Braces?????
get another retainer
Reply:Get a new retainer.
Reply:Talk to your orthadontist... They can probably make you a new set of retainers and as your teeth go back to the way they were they just adjust the retainer.
Reply:Get back to your orthodontist quick! He/She can fit you with invisiline and since they just started moving it shouldn't take long for you to have your beautiful smile back :)
Reply:You should just get another retainer.
Reply:you should go back to the dentist and get fitted for a new retainer.
Reply:yes. You could go to the dentist and buy or replace your retainars and your teeth will be like they were before your dog chewed them up!
Reply:Permanent (or) Built-In Retainer.

Ask your dentist, or ortho about it.

I'm getting one soon.

I had braces for 5 years and 2 surgeries, and now my teeth look horrible because I haven't TOUCHED my retainer since i've had them off (for 2 years, almost 3!) So i'm getting a built-in retainer.

It fits in right behind your front top teeth and right behind your bottom front teeth
Reply:Yea i would check up your orthodontist again and see what is the best thing to do.

I just got mines off i would probaly say you might need new pair of retainers A.S.A.P!

Hope that helps!

=)
Reply:I would think that after years of wearing your retainers regularly, your teeth would stay. However, you could try getting invisalighn (not sure how to spell that lol), or if you have a great dentist, like mine, maybe they could make you a new one. Worth a shot.
Reply:i know this may be ghetto but my cousin used to tie rubberbands around her teeth before she went to sleep now her teeth are perfect
Reply:so are you sayin your retainer got chewed up?? if so then go your dentist and explain what happened you should be able to get it replaced. if you mean somethin else then i have no idea. =D
Reply:Go to your orthodontist right away. Apparentlly our teeth have a memory and they will try if able to go back to their original location. Retainers can help if you've had fairly small amounts of shifting. Just go right away before it gets worse.
Reply:That happened to me.

The stupid retainer didnt retain my teeth n day by day they eventually went bak to normal.

All tht pain n suffering for nuthing.

You're gna have to call you're dentist and get them to mold you a new one wich will take a few weeks and you might even have to pay im not sure.

Hopefully you're teeth will go bak to straight once you get ur new retainer.
Reply:Hello,

I used to work for an Orthodontist about two years ago. The best thing to do is to make an appointment with your Ortho. The sooner the better. He or she will be able to give you any alternative options if they are available for your case.
Reply:i had braces when i was a kid and when i got em off i lost my retainer. my teeth stayed straight and have had no problems. but if your worried about them un-straightening talk to you orthodontist and he'll give you some tips on how to help em out. maybe they will just give you a new set of retainers.
Reply:First, you should buy a new retainer. If that doesn't work you can turn to god.God has works for me all the time.
Reply:I think u need to go to ur ortho and ask them to make u a new retainer as well as that u might have to pay money for them to be made again

Good Luck
Reply:You should call your orthodontist right away. If it hasn't been to long you may not need braces. You could just get another retainer or Invisalign until your teeth are in their regular position. Whenever something is not right call right away. Good Luck and hope you don't need braces!!!!!
