Braces...?

I am really scared i am getting braces tomorrow! Do they hurt? can someone tell meee plzzzz i need some ppl opions.

at first they dont hurt then your teeth start hurting a little but its not bad take advil about a hour before appt then after appt this will help they will tell you no gum but gum helps get rid of pain sooner good luck with your braces
Reply:take tylenol or some other pain medicine before you get them on. It hurts for a couple of days, but its not that bad. just keep taking tylenol or whatever, and it should be gone in about 2 days. Its not that bad

They only hurt for the first 3-5 days (depends on how much you can take pain) but it doesn't really hurt that much. You might develop small ulclears but thats why theres the wax to put on the places that are irritating you.
Reply:they really arnt that bad i have them and i kinda like them. they dont hurt when they are putting them on but a few hours later they start to get sore. but just take tylonal or something. on a scale of 1-10 i would say they are a 10 on the first day but it depends on how bad your teeth are and how tight of a wire they put on. just stick to soft foods for a week and you will be fine. good luck!!! =]
