Braces?????????

im going to the dentist today to ask if i can get braces.....im scared as i've heard they really hurt to get put in.......what will she do today(will she just look and make another appointment?) and does it really hurt to get braces?????

Reply:if you do it today, the dentist will consult you to have an x-ray of your teeth and he or she will measure your teeth...yes,.she will going to set you an another appointment,,,and will tell you to come back if the appliances are available for braces...yes, it do hurts..but don't be afraid., it only lasts for a week...
Reply:Well, I don't have braces but I've also heard that and it probably WILL hurt (sorry) but if I were you, I'd get them. Besides if you think you'll look ugly with braces, did you know that now you can get the invisible one OR that you can get the ones that they put on the other side of your teeth where it doesn't show?





I think you should get them.
Reply:You may get sores and stuff but you can by little wax strips to put on the ends so they won't really hurt and but when you get them put in it may hurt and you will get use to them they my hurt a little but you can do it and she may look at your teeth and stuff and see when it is the best time to get them
Reply:No Kelly they will just do an examination and explain to you the type of mal-occlusion you have. They will also give a rough idea of what the treatment would entail as well as an approximate idea of fees. If you decide to procedd from there you would need an apppointment to have the necessary records taken which is then followed by a treatment plan appointment.At this appointment all the fees are outlined as well the the appointments and the duration of treatment.


The band-up(putting on the braces) appointment is a little uncomfrotable. The first 2-3 days is a little sore but can be resolved with mild pain relief.

Reply:They will send you somewhere else or may get x-rays there and It might take a couple visits. They hurt, but it's not as bad as you think and it's worth the pain.
Reply:I've got them and they don't bother me so much. It only hurts if your teeth are extremely distorted.
Reply:Braces won't hurt to be put on... BUT, it will hurt afterwards for a few days. Then, You won't feel pain untill you have to get them tighten. You will feel pain again for a few days.
