when you have braces do you have to have those rubber bands that you connect to your top brace and bottom? (sorry i don't know the name for it)
Braces............?
I believe it depends on your age and treatment. I'm an adult and I didn't have the rubber band that connects to the top and bottom. My daughter did have that on her braces - I believe they do that in the finishing stage. An orthodontist can explain everything to you. Good luck.
Reply:Not necessarily. It depends on the type of braces, for instance you don't have rubber bands with invisalign braces. Also it depends on what's wrong with your teeth. As a child I had braces twice. The first set was to pull teeth out of my gums and straighten, so there were no rubber bands involved. The second set was to correct and overbite, so they had to use rubberbands.
Reply:BRACERLIZED!
Reply:ya most likely ur going to have them
Reply:It depends on the person with the braces. For example: I had braces and had to wear them, my sister also had braces but she wasn't required to wear them. If you are supposed to wear them please do, they may be a little annoying but trust me they work.
Reply:Yes, if you do not use the rubberbands then your teeth will not move, and that is just a waste of time and money.
Reply:they are just called elastics i think. you have them to correct your bite and you do have to wear them otherwise you will have braces 4 a lot longer
