I just got mine today. It feel soo werid, couldnt eat anything so hard to bite.





Yes it hurt abit because of the pressure the braces have on the teeth.





How long are you going to have your braces? - mine is 2 yrs
Reply:You will be a little sore for a few days. It's not that bad. Use the wax they give you..... any pain you have will go away.
Reply:You will also talk a little funny for a day or two.
Reply:It depends how sensitive your teeth are. Mine were sore for about a week until I could eat slightly solid foods. After a couple of weeks everything should be fine.
Reply:When they put your braces in it doesnt hurt. But after a couple hours it will hurt a lot! I'll stay sore for a couple days.
Reply:when ur getting them put on u cant feel any pain but after a few hours the pain gets bad and is like that for about a week then u get used to them and cant feel anything





but to help with the pain u should get a teething ring and take plenty pain medicine and only eat soft foods

Reply:I had braces for 3 years. Getting them put on was uncomfortable yes and the next several days they did hurt. Braces actually slowly break your teeth away from the bone to allow them to be moved. I had to eat soft food for awhile. Everytime I went back for a bigger wire %26amp; tightening my teeth were sore and sensitive, but not excrutiating.





Just make sure you keep your teeth really clean. You can buy special little brushes to get between the brackets, and don't forget to floss. Because the braces trap more food, plaque, etc... it's much easier to get cavities, so take good care of your teeth.

Reply:They will heart a couple of hours later and the pain will list for at least two days.

my teeths are little bit bigger just a teeny meeny bit so that causes them to lay on my lip from the inside sometimes but people say they look nice


i thought of getting braces but what the doctor told me scare me off


he told me that we will just have to take the two teeths at the back out and then push the rest into their place with braces for 2 years





i was like what the hell


then the dentist was like but i dont think that ur teeths really need it

Just make sure to invest in some tylenol. Take some right before you go in to get them on. Also, take some chapstick/vaseline with you too. This will help your lips from drying out and cracking when you sit with your mouth stretched open for an hour.





Afterwards, you won't be able to eat anything hard for a few days. Get lots of icecream, pudding, jello, soup, applesauce, and soft/easy to chew foods.





Your inside gums and lips might also be irritated from the metal. The orthodontist should give you some wax which you can put over the wires. Make sure to use lots of it.





Good luck. It's not really as bad as it sounds. Yes it will hurt, but the pain is not excruciating and you will eventually get used to it. Plus just keep thinking how good you will look when it's all done.
