Braces...........?

I have been asking my parents forever for braces, and I don't care anymore, I'm paying for them before college, it's going to hold me back, but I don't care. I want straight teeth. I only need tops one and a palet widener, so I don't know how much that is going to cost, so I need your help! Now that some teeth are chipped, I'm very upset. Is there anyway they can slice my gums and straighten them, plus I need money quotes. I have no benefits if that helps. I live in ON, CA. for the cost of them.

i got a palate expander its not too expensive only $1500 but altogether your treatment will probably cost about 3-4 thousand

Reply:Um don't your parents have ortho insurance. Most employers carry health benefits, but not all carry ortho ins. However, they'd still have to pay some though. Cost, I don't know, prices probably vary between states, docs, etc. I'd look in yellow pages and start calling around, but most docs are going to want a consult and that would probably cost money too.

Reply:I live in Ontario Canada to! I had to have braces for 2 years because i had an over bit and underbite on my backs and two teeth were crossing over. For my braces it cost around $4,750+200 for the x-rays on my teeth. Braces and teeth work is not cheep at all!
Reply:The Orthodontist wont put them on unless HE think you needs the braces


I wanted braces too and like you I live in Ontario


but I cant get them because they want me to have jaw surgery first (and I dont want jaw surgery)


I think that braces are neat


I would have colors on my brackets like now I would have blue for winter


but I think I would look ugly in braces because my mouth and my lower jaw is small


and I cant afford them anyway because Im on Ontario Disability
Reply:They are actually around $4500. Although, my insurance didn't covert them, hte did give me a discount, so now tis noly $3,200!
