Braces!!!!??

I just got my braces on today..and they don't hurt...will they start to hurt later on in the week?

Not necessarily. They may hurt when you get them tightened every few weeks but you get used to it.

Reply:They will start to hurt later on tonight. Just so you know before you go back for a check up or when they tighten them, before going you should take some Tylenol, it doesn't hurt while they do it but later that night you will have some pain.

Reply:Sometimes you luck out and they don't hurt! When they tighten them...however, you will feel the pressure of the braces pushing against your teeth. They will tighten them about every 4 weeks..it's more painful for some people than others. Mybrothers called my "brace face" for years!! Be glad your teeth will be nice and straight and pretty! ♥
Reply:they'll hurt later on tonight! You're teeth may be a bit tender later on - I remember it took about 4 hours for my teeth to hurt after I got them put on. If you've made it past 4 hours - you're lucky!





They will be a bit sore after every ortho visit - just a few days tho.
Reply:they hurt for about 1-3 days. i suggest eating soft food like hard boilded eggs, mashed potatoes, yogart and milkshakes feel good on your teeth. but i suggest taking an aspirn or something to stop the pain
Reply:They don't hurt the first day much but they will be sore for about two weeks and then they will get better. After your first time they get tightened, they will hurt a little but after about three appointments, they won't hurt as much. Trust me. the first day they put my braces on it didnt hurt and i could eat anything. but after a while i started to feel pain and i needed some medicine.





but it will onlly hurt for like 2-3 days after they tighten it
