Braces :(:(:(:(?

I had my braces put on and im depressed! I hate the way they look and feel.. and to think ive got another year or so of this i cant bear it!.. And right now im in real pain

yeah i hated it when i first got braces. my teeth looked so dorky with them. but once your teeth get straighter..(they'll move really fast the first two to three months and then after that you wont notice the change much) and you'll like em a lot more. then before you know it you'll be getting them off. its exciting
Reply:u will get use to them and the pain will subside. hang in there. cause when those suckers come off you will have a AMAZING smile! .
Reply:I love a brace face, it can be hot. Also you'll be relived when you don't have crooked teeth. Nothing worse than bad teeth.

Reply:My sister has got braces too! She felt a lot of Pain for the last Month, but then she felt nothing at all it was like they wernt there! So Sorry You Might Feel It For a couple more weeks... :(

Reply:i know it is horrible but you will get used to them and when they come off youll ahve lovely straight teeth!


try some painkilers if its really bad.
Reply:I felt the same way! I absolutley hated the way my braces looked. There was nothing I could do, so I just looked at all the posotives, instead of looking at the negatives and being depressed.





1) After you get them off, your teeth will look great!


2) They are not as noticable as you think.


3) Braces are kinda cute.


4) After about a week, you will get used to the way they look and feel.

I too have to have them on for a year, but trust me, by the first two weeks, my teeth were already improving.


at first it feels horrible and you can't eat and it feels like your teeth are being pulled out every second. People will start to call you "train tracks" and "brace face" but they soon stop!


They realiese they should of had braces and look up to you!!





if people ask you how it feels, give them an honest answer because they too might need braces and may be scared.





Your hurting will go down, and every time you get them re-wired it may feel tight, but again it only hurts for a bit.





At the end you'll ahve a fab smile!!





And remember, if you think life is poo, it will be...
Reply:When I first looked in the mirror I had that horrible feeling in my tummy - knowing it would be another 18 months or more until I had them off, %26amp; I will say I felt the same for three days but then I got used to them and in a few weeks you'll forget your wearing them. They always look a bit funny but when I got my braces off i hated the way my teeth felt and they looked strange too. Don't worry everyone forgets and it doesn't make you look any less attractive [i promise]
Reply:the pain will go. the time will fly. i'm an adult who had braces. They cost me a lot of money but I'm pleased with the result.


My daughter has them and has different coloured bands every time she goes to make them look cool.
Reply:i got braces in july and first i felt really depressed and sorry for myself and tried to hide them when i talked then i just thought screw it a happy confident person with braces looks way better then a shy insecure person with braces you've got them so make the most of them. also i think braces are cute. and one year until gorgeous straight teeth isnt that long!!!! good luck!
Reply:I had braces for 4 years and it does feel really weird and uncomfortable when you first get them but after some time passes you won't even feel that you have them anymore, I know braces aren't the most attractive thing in the world and you probably think that the braces are the first thing people will notice when they look at you but trust me its worth it because when your braces do come off and your left with perfectly straight teeth people will notice hey i bet some people will even envy your smile.there are a lot of people out there who only ever wish to get the type of smile your gonna have hang in there one yr isn't that long you'll be okay
