Braces?????

i NEED BRACES!!


i hate my teeth and smile!


i want to tell my mom but she will keep sayin stuff about my dad {{my mom and dad are divorced}} she will say "Well i DONT know GO to your father let him buy them for u" but hes HARDLY around!!


i dont know what to day...i i need to have them before school starts!!


but i only have 2 more baby teeth but they are loose but i still dont know what to do!!??





Can somebody PLEASE help mee??

Braces?????
This sounds exactly like the spot I was last year. Me and my mom often got in fights about getting braces, but I never was able to find out why she wouldn't get them. But, then I finally figured out that my parents just didn't have the money, but they had been saving. Try to calmly talk to your mom, and offer to pay for a portion of the braces. Mine were 4,000 dollars, but that was with braces, expander, spacers... yeah. Anyways, maybe you could use your birthday money to pay for some of the braces. You also might want to talk to your mom about how important this is for you to get braces NOw before your bite gets worse and they'll cost even more.

Reply:i think you need to wate until your baby teeth come out and your permanent teeth come in- no sense in straightening teeth that are going to be goine in a year!
Reply:wel, since you still have baby teeth you should wait till they fall out, but now is a good time to start talking to your parents about it. tell your mom how you feel and that you really want braces, and tell her that her and your dad need to discuss it together and figure out what to do. its not your fault they got divorced, they need to be civil and responsible(sorry, divorce pisses me off, especially when parents bull immature bullshit) good luck hun!
Reply:if you still have baby teeth then why not ask your mom to take you to the pediatric dentist and see if there is something he can do. one of my children avoided braces all together because the dentist was wise enough to be proactive about the way the teeth were coming in. two of my children had braces at the same time. we made monthly payments for a while but it all got taken care of.





you didn't mention your age.. but try this.





"mom, i think i need to go to the dentist and have my teeth checked .. just in case." once you are at the dentist ask him if you possibly need braces. then ask the dentist to talk to your mom about the possibilities. also talk to your dad. even if he is hardly around perhaps you can talk to him on the phone. tell him you need braces and tell him that your mom wanted you to talk to him about it. it might be worth a try.





i know you would rather not wait but these days people are getting braces later in life. if all else fails you can get them later on.
