Braces????

My orthidontist said that if i have my braces tightened like ever 4 weeks rather then the usual or 5-7 weeks, i won't have to wear them as long! Is that true? does anyone know or experienced this?

Yes this is absolutely true. As long as he tightens them very slightly and small movements, you will be out of braces in no time! I myself wore Invisalign Braces for 10 months. The plastic aligners are changed every two weeks (as opposed to what your dr. is suggesting 4 weeks) and I now have straight teeth with no problems. Good Luck!!!!!

Reply:its better if you let the braces adjested every month..at least, the teeth have already on place before they get to be adjusted again..;-)
Reply:you kno how they say everyones body is different???...well everyones teeth are 2. i had braces for about 6 years...n the end we realized that i was way 2 young when they put the braces on,,,my mother basically got fed up and just told them to take them off...the orthidontist said that my teeth would be ruin'd but she was wrong...its been atleast a year now going on 2 since i have had them taken off and my teeth are better than befor i got them taken off....gurl my point iz ...listen to your orthidontist but dont stress over it.
Reply:Mine are 4-5 week adjustments. Dr said 2 more months and they are off (10 month total). Alot sooner than he predicted. They say it varies for everyone, age is a factor also.


I like going more often because I tend to brush hard and loosen a bracket and I just want these things off!!!
