Braces????

tomarrow i am getting braces on and i am really really scared does it hurt? what do you reccomend for me to eat soup pudding????

Yes, eat soup, don't eat anything hard or chewy at least after a day you have them. They do hurt but not right away when you get them on. Maybe after 10 mins you have them on, you feel pressure. Just take some Tylenol if they hurt you. But once the pain wares off, eat anything you want, I do that now. But I have experience of braces I had em' for a year and 2 months now.
Reply:i had braces to the thing is that it hurts for like 3 days straight which sucks but DONT EAt SOUP PUDDING jus dont eat anythig hard trust me you dont want to feel the pain when you eat something hard =[
Reply:Ok, I have bracer...actually gettong them on, realyl doesent hurt at all...barely..its actually after that it starts hurting..like your teeth get sore, adn they bracer will cut up the inside of your mouth from the friction, but your mouth will get used to your bracesand stop doing this in like 2 weeks. The only thing about geettting them on is it takes a lot of time..but dont worry, its not as all as bad as it seems..BEST OF LUCK!

And as for what people are saying about eating...you can eat perfectly normally after they feel beter, trust me..i do..i eat and drink everything i did before you forget you have them after a little while..and you should eat ice cream and soup..those are some good things..and maybe oatmeal or just something like that..but trust me, it HURTS if you try to eat something hard after getting braces, and it is very awkward to eat..it took me awhile to get used to eating and stuff haha..so just liek test your teeth and see when you are ready to eat some solids again..


Taking some kinda of pain reliever before you go will deffinetly help you..keep the PR right to yah...and they will give you some wax to help with the sharp points on the braces till your mouth gets adjusted...they are also going to give you some cleaning stuff and tell you to do a bunch of things, but honestly, dont get too worried because all most people with braces do is brush 2 times a day and maybe floss everyonece in ahwile and we are all fine haha..e mail me if you have any questions :)

Reply:I would definitely eat something before you get them on, because they will hurt for a few days after from the pressure on them, and after you get them on take some Advil or something so it kicks in by the time you start to feel the pressure from them.
Reply:braces dont hurt when thry put it on you but it will hurt once in a whlie but dont worry they will give you wax that you put on your braces and also they give you a list what not to eat
Reply:It hurts for like the first day after you get them. I reccomend taking motrin before you get them on. It will help with the pain afterwords. Make sure you don't eat anything hard, or chewy.

Reply:They will feel very tight at first and for about the first week soup and other soft foods are the best, don't bite into anything hard. And remember to floss everynight

Reply:any thingg softt. it wont hurt at firsttt its goiingg to feel weriddd and uncomftorable. but thats ok. its gonna feel werid to eatt thenn the paiin will come i would recomentt soupp anddd drinkss. andd advil/motirinn/tylenol
