Braces???!??!?

i just got braces and i want to know if i will feel any pain or anything.

i got my braces yesterday and im not in pain at all. about four hours after it started to hurt...but it wasnt unbearable, also it hurt when i woke up (i suggest taking advil, but i didnt cause it wasnt THAT severe). it hurt to play my saxophone during 2nd period band, if you play an instrument just tell your teacher-she'll understand (my teacher is evil....and even she understood). good luck, and im here for yah.
Reply:Yes I have braces and 4 about this week ur mouth is going to hurt so bad. But then u will not even b able to feel them use ur wax.

i got braces like 6 monthes ago.


and when i got mine they hurt really bad.


but then 2 weeks ago my best friend got hers.


and they didn't hurt at all.

Reply:omg you will get alot of pain if your teeth are really crooked i had crooked teath and i got really good results!! ITS WORTH IT!! PAin is beauty!!
Reply:Well when you get them on they will feel oquard and will not be normal to you... but after a little while they begin to set in.. Trust me... i have had braces for like 18 months now and i am excited to go and see my ortho person because suposedly this time i get my impressions which means that i get these braces off in a month or so

If you ever get a power-chain or a spring put in with your braces to help a problem like a gap in your teeth, then they might hurt the first week you have them. Your teeth will get used to them, and you will learn quickly what pops a bracket off. When you brush your teeth, turn your toothbrush AWAY from your gum, that way you won't irritate your gum. When you get your braces changed it might hurt if they put a heavier chain on your braces. Usually the only pain you will feel is maybe a little like a pimple on the inside of your mouth, from where the wire has dug into your gum. That is why the dentist gives you wax. Remember, the less times you have a problem with your braces, the sooner you will get them off.

Reply:i wish i could ask a question like this...when i got mine it hurt as they were putting them on and were hurting like crazy before i even walked out the door to leave.
