Braces?!?!?!?!?

im getting braces soon. i dont no what to think should i be scared or be like its no problem. what do they do at first and does it hurt when there beinng put on?

Braces?!?!?!?!?
it doesn't really hurt for them to be put on. You will need just some aspirin or tylenol next couple of days because they will be sore but not really painful...but sore. Also....the braces sometimes cause little cuts on the inside of your lips until you get used to them, so have a little something like orajel that you can rub on your gums/inner mouth for a few days. IN THE LONG RUN I'M GLAD I DID IT.
Reply:I'm not going to lie, it does hurt a little bit. But it's very very worth it in the end. Just stay calm, if you psych yourself out you are going to make it worse than it is. Be exciting about how awesome your smile is going to be when you get your braces off. AND some girls are hot with braces :)

Good Luck.
Reply:No it doesn't hurt. I just got my braces on two weeks ago. Just make sure they give you wax to use over the brackets until the inside of your lips form a little callous.
Reply:your braces will hurt about a couple of hours after put on and will hurt for about 5 days stick to soft food and take a pain medians and u will be fine and every time u get them adjusted each month it will hurt about 5 days after but if they are not adjusted much it won't hurt as bad and braces are no problem i got mine off a few months ago and i love my teeth it was totally worth it
Reply:it really doesnt hurt at all. first they clean your teeth, then they apply a cement type of glue onto your teeth, one tooth at a time. they then stick on the bracket, and shine a blue light to make the glue dry. once all the brackets are on they put on a wire and you get to pick out what colors you want. it doesnt hurt until the next day, and it will only be sore for a while. getting the braces on is the easiest part. just make sure you bring chapstick because you lips might get a little chapped because you have to keep your mouth open for a while. good luck! and dont worry
Reply:Here is a great site that explains the steps.

Reply:the only thing that really hurt for me was when they had to tighten them and even that only lasted a couple of hours. its a little uncomfortable when you get them only because of the tight feeling but you get used to it and its well worth it. i loved changing the colors every month to suit each holiday sound corny but i looked forward to it.
