Braces!!??

Is it true that when you get braces you are at risk to get more cavities?

well it depends,


with braces its harder to clean your teeth then it is without them. but if you do a really good job cleaning your teeth after everytime you eat, its fine :)..another reason to make sure they are really clean is because when you get them on your teeth might be white, so then if you dont clean them well enough then where the brackets were on will be white, but the rest will be yellow. it happend to someone i know, it looked quite funny..its like little white squares on a yellow background.

Reply:no i have braces, and i actually have less, because they limit what i can eat. Dont worry about it, braces help more than they hurt:)
Reply:No, I used to get cavities all the time. But when I got braces I never got them. You take care of your teeth better with braces.
Reply:Yes it is true unfortunetly. But if you rush really well you won't get any. I had mt braces for a year and i went to the dentist twice and didn't have any cavaties!
