Braces????

i have had my braces on now for about 6 months, and i have had no trouble but today one of the braces(the metal piece) has started to move. i cant do any thing about it for 4 days until i can see the orthodontist. i want to know if i will fall off or if it will harm me or my other braces? if any one knows of has gone though this experience, please help because im worried it might fall off

Lol! Sorry. I'm sure your worried but don't be. I had braces for 5 years. The brackets do come loose occasionally. If possible, don't mess with. Although, I know it can be very annoying. If it does fall off, just put it in something and take it with you when you go to your appointment. It really is no big deal. They will just put it back on and you will be good to go. Braces can be a pain but the end result is totally worth it. I've had mine off for almost 10 years and my teeth are still beautiful. I don't ever regret having them.

Reply:i have invisaligns, so i wouldnt know. but i think you should just not mess with it and try not to eat any chewy or hard food till then
Reply:You may want to call after hours line for your orthodontist. They are too expensive if something does happen. Until you see the doc, just be careful while eating and things.

Reply:the wire is holding it on. Don't worry it won't fall off, and if it does no biggy. They will glue it back on/ I have broke like 10 off from eating cornnuts. And when I got it my car accident it knocked the two front ones loose and they never came off until i went to get my braces tightened. Don't worry

if the metal piece begins to irrate your mouth just put some of the wax that they give you over it.


otherwise you should be absolutely fine.
Reply:When you get your braces taken off, you'll find out that it's easy, painless and only takes 5 minutes. All it takes to undo a brace is squeezing it and pulling a little bit. It won't harm you and happens all the time, so I'm sure they can fix it if it falls off. It might cost to fix though. I'd avoid eating any sticky or hard foods. Especially candy and apples.
Reply:no, don't worry this happened to me too, but the wire is holding it, so it won't fall off. but for me mine fell off like 2 weeks before my next appointment, and i think i lefted it for too long, cause my teeth was straight but then i think that my loose bracket made my one tooth with the lose bracket went in a little bit. so don't wait too long to go get it fix!
Reply:Check with the orthodontist the next time you see him/her. In the meantime, try not to eat anything that may provoke your braces.
