Braces??????

Ok here goes ........ I am seriously considering braces!


I have an overbite and a gap in my fronth teeth!


My other teeth are like perfect!!


Will I only have to get a top brace!


I live in Ireland so do you know roughly how much this will cost?





Could you tell me how much it cost ye if ye had them!


I'll do the conversion!!

My daughter has braces so, from my experience I can say what Dr Sam says is completely right. You will probably need bottom braces too. Complete braces for top and bottom cost around 2000 US$ for porcelain braces, 1700 US$ for steel braces in Turkey.
Reply:It'll probably cost you about 5000 bucks... also if you only got them on the top it would look pretty weird.
Reply:Steve, we can't tell. Usually, if the top teeth are messed up, so are the bottom teeth. There are things that we look for that a typical patient can't see properly. The overbite and gap in your top teeth may ultimately be due to a problem with the position of your bottom teeth.





What I'm getting at is that you might need bottom braces, too. I have only seen 1 or 2 patients in 30 years who actually had braces only on their top teeth.





As far as fees, in the US, this would be in the $4,000 ballpark, but I have no idea if simply doing a currency conversion is valid for you. Maybe Irish orthodontists work cheaper than ours do. :-)
Reply:I would vidit and orthodontist for a consultaion and have him/her explain everything to you and exam you. They can give you an accurate price and most of them will work out payment plans with you.
